Welcome to the Storyweaving Retreat Center

Join me for Storyweaving workshops or rent the space for your own workshops or group retreats.

Located in a wooded neighborhood in Fort Washington, MD, the center is near accessible natural national park trails and the beautiful Piscataway Creek and Potomac River.

This unique, flexible space is perfect for individual retreats in our private, quiet suite, as well as classes and meetings (6-20 people), with multiple breakout spaces, a generous kitchen. The private suite is also ideal for a workshop leader or for 2-3 participants who want to make this their home base during a workshop.

 Personal Areas

Because of the Covid crisis, the Storyweaving Retreat Center is only open to personal retreats for the time being. I am considering beginning renting to groups again in the Spring of 2022. If you’re interested in planning a workshop or board meeting in the future, contact me directly for information about local hotels, caterers, and a virtual site tour! But check the schedule if you’re interested in making time for a personal retreat.

“Storyweaving’s workshop space is a delight airy, clean, flexible and very welcoming. Carol Burbank has it set up beautifully with tables that can be moved into lots of different configurations. There's good wifi, large smart television for presentations and some additional comfortable seating in alternative spaces. I’ve done workshops in hotel rooms and a lot of other conference room spaces and this is truly the most comfortable and inviting. A beautiful bonus were all the windows looking out on the green trees in the forest. Just a short distance from DC and yet it felt like we’re out in the country.”
