Final MiniMFA Class of 2023-2024 year: MASTERING STRUCTURE AND FLOW (April 24)

It’s not too late to join us for MASTERING STRUCTURE AND FLOW, an intensive exploration of organizing a manuscript so it’s a page turner, whatever genre you write in. We’ll review the last four session materials as tools for structure and flow, including metaphor, character, integrating research, and finding your narrative voice. This class distills the best of MFA wisdom, includes a detailed workbook, a small group discussion, and an individual 1 hour coaching session. All meetings will be on Zoom.

Have questions? Email me! Or if you want to join us, let me know and I’ll send you a paypal link and a workbook, and reserve your place.

Your reader may not see what’s coming around the bend, but they’ll keep reading when you master your craft!

MASTERING STRUCTURE AND FLOW
APRIL 24, 2024 (ON ZOOM)
7-9 P.M. EST

Conventional writing wisdom offers all sorts of rules that we’re expected to follow: specific lengths, specific structures, specific words and character-types, and even some specific places where conflict or rewards need to pop up in our plots. While some publishers ask for these rules to be followed, most want a work that has its own integrity. When we’ve gotten to the final draft, that’s the moment to decide what rules will help us make the manuscript shine. And if we’ve chosen well, those changes will be tweaks that strengthen our work, and prepare it for submission to journals, agents or publishers. This class will give you the information you need to decide on a structure, and strategies to establish the right flow — whether it’s about rhythm of language, thematic parallels, or any number of literary strategies to make your manuscript more readable, more publishable, and more powerful.

$285 includes workshop, workbook, and 1 hour of individual coaching
