New Publications of Note

There’s great news for 2024! Three new books have come out recently from my community of writers, each one a creative gem! Click on the images to find out more! I’m proud to have been part of these wonderful authors’ journeys as they’ve brought their visions to life!

Jan Thorpe’s smart psychological thriller tells the story of a contemporary, life-threatening clash that dates back to the Civil War. Daniel, a university historian, must face down his old enemy, a pro-Confederate survivalist determined to destroy him. With help from his eccentric circle of Berkeley sleuths, his eccentric and brilliant nephew, and a family ghost from Civil War times, Daniel goes on a dangerous journey that takes him from the comfortable Berkeley hills to the wilderness, where the Civil War refuses to end.

Hunter is a love story between a trans-man and a trans-woman who meet when writer Hunter has finally completed full female to male reassignment surgery. Before they can truly connect, despite their genuine love, Hunter must face down the demons from his past and decide exactly what kind of man he wants to become.

Michigan, Unfiltered captures the essence of wandering through the wilderness during all seasons. The accompanying written excerpts from Thorne’s essays and other writings add a welcome layer to the already rich journey through the over 200 images she has collected here.
