With more writers exploring hybrid genres, and increased expectations in publication standards for every genre of writing, everyone needs a boost to support their best work and reach a wider audience. For writers without the resources or interest in a long-term MFA program, or even those who have completed their MFAs but want a refresher, I’ve designed an experience to help you storyweave with the best!

Join us to lift your writing to the next level, increasing your creativity and productivity with practical and inspiring writing and revision strategies!

I’ll offer five core techniques to strengthen your work, whatever you write. Each workshop will offer examples from multiple genres (poetry, memoir, creative non-fiction, fiction, plays) with emphasis on the way techniques can be adapted for each genre, and lessons learned from master writers. Understanding these techniques will help you take on complex themes, hybrid projects, and focused revision. You’ll raise the bar on your writing and creative practice, learning MFA tools in compact, practical sessions. Students are welcome to bring a writing sample for the last thirty minutes of our 2-hour workshop, where volunteers can share an example for comments and questions.

Each workshop includes a workbook with exercises and prompts, and a follow-up coaching session focusing on the theme of the workshop, and exploring an excerpt of their work.  Students can purchase all five workshops at a discounted rate.*
